All services are provided in English and Spanish.

$200 per hour. I will also accept need-based referrals on a sliding scale fee.

Water Safety Planning & Expertise

Know the water. Stone & Current provides comprehensive assessments of the water safety and water quality elements for open water programs. Every pool, lake, river and ocean holds its own safety considerations from the parking lot to the tide pools, jumping cliffs and rope swings.

Oregon Department of Agriculture Farm Mediation Program. Mediator for disputes relating to rural and agricultural labor issues, land use, and family businesses.

Network of Oregon Watershed Councils & Oregon Association of Conservation Districts Annual Conference. Lead Conference Facilitator. Annual conference of two state agencies, NOWC and OACD, to explore strategies for the joint protection, administration, and stewardship of Oregon’s water resources.

West Linn Blue Heron Redevelopment Taskforce. Lead facilitator for a multi-stakeholder group of local, state, and regional interests to identify possible future uses of the Blue Heron Paper Mill site in the City of West Linn.

MLK-Alberta Redevelopment Plan. Facilitator. Led a multi-stakeholder working group process to prepare a highly visible commercial lot for redevelopment in partnership with Prosper Portland, Natural Grocer Inc., Colas Construction, and other stakeholders.

Mid-Columbia Early Learning Hub Process. Facilitator. Led a collaborative process for five mid-Columbia counties to re-envision the delivery of early learning services for at-risk children and their families.

Oregon Department of Community Colleges and Workforce Development. Facilitator for a statewide policy planning discussion with the President’s Council of the Oregon Community Colleges.

Portland Bureau of Planning & Sustainability workplace reorganization plan. Facilitator. Led a collaborative problem-solving process with 175 agency staff to prepare for a physical relocation and consolidation of two main office spaces.

Centro PDX: Latino Community Education Center Plan. Facilitator consultant to Portland Development Commission to guide an engagement strategy for Latino businesses and communities.

Aloha-Reedville Study and Livable Community Plan. Senior Public Involvement Consultant engaging Latino and faith-based communities through convening, process design, and facilitation services, providing multi-party approach to develop and implement an engagement process to address community concerns around land use, economic development, transportation, and housing. Project was sponsored by the Federal Housing and Urban Development Agency (HUD), Metro, and Washington County.

Green Infrastructure Working Group (Grey to Green 2.0). Facilitator for the budget planning work group.

City of Stevenson, Washington. Facilitator for a series of town hall meetings on the issue of community health and traffic safety in a small Columbia River Gorge community.

Columbia Gorge Regional Ports Dialogue. Facilitator for a multi-stakeholder regional economic development dialogue sponsored by the Columbia River Gorge Commission.

Ecosystem Services in the Columbia Basin working group, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Co-facilitator with EPA Director of Western Ecology to guide a roundtable discussion on ecosystem services in the Columbia River Basin.

Chicago-Portland Stormwater Management project. Facilitator for a Portland-Chicago research team studying the management of stormwater runoff through green infrastructure and street design.

Planning

Whole Watershed Restoration Initiative: Ecotrust, Washington and Oregon.  Facilitated a re-envisioning process for a Columbia Basin (Salmon Nation) partnership.

Tillamook Estuaries Partnership Strategic Planning process. Led a strategic planning process for a watershed collaborative focused on balancing the concerns of human health, environmental health, and regional industry.

Columbia Gorge Community College. Designed and ran a strategic visioning retreat for community college leadership exploring collaborative strategies for the higher education, healthcare, and technology industries.

Clackamas Stewardship Partners. Led a strategic visioning retreat work session for a multi-stakeholder watershed collaborative focusing on health equity, environmental conservation, and the stewardship of regional municipal water facilities.

Recovery Association Project. Guided for a multi-day strategic planning process for a regional non-profit running transitional homes for individuals experiencing substance abuse rehabilitation.

Columbia River Estuary Studies Taskforce. Convened a multi-agency taskforce to explore questions related to workplace development and program delivery processes.

Portland Street Renaming Process. Lead Consultant for the public engagement, process design, and facilitation of public meetings in a controversial renaming of a major city street after labor leader Cesar E. Chavez.

Agency processes

Housing Authority of Portland. Hearings Officer for Section 8 and Public Housing grievance hearings. Researched applicable agency rules and federal regulations and issued hearings decisions for individuals facing eviction or denial of public housing.

Portland Police Review Board. Facilitated internal administrative case review and proceedings.

TriMet Proposed Fare and Service Changes, Public Hearings Process. Community hearings officer for a series of public hearings on the agency’s proposed fare structure and service changes. The impacts of service changes on elderly, youth, and mobility-challenged riders were top concerns raised in the hearings.
